Citrus Zest Botanical Bar Soap

Orange Peel Powder: Finely ground from dried orange peel, this ingredient brings two things to the bar: gentle physical exfoliation and the natural chemical exfoliation of citrus enzymes and vitamin C. Used in skincare traditions across West Africa, the Caribbean, South Asia, and the Mediterranean for centuries — dried and powdered citrus peel has always been understood as a brightening agent. Not a trend. A practice. The texture is fine enough to polish without irritating, present enough to make itself felt. 

Aloe Vera Juice: Used here in place of water, aloe vera juice brings anti-inflammatory, hydrating, and skin-conditioning properties into the bar from the very first step of the process. Communities across Africa, Asia, and the Americas have relied on aloe to heal and soothe skin for generations. In Citrus Zest it serves as the calming counterpart to the brightness of the citrus — ensuring the bar energizes without aggravating. 

Rice Bran Oil: Pressed from the outer layer of the rice grain and long associated with the remarkably soft skin of women who worked with rice across Japan and Southeast Asia, rice bran oil is rich in vitamin E, ferulic acid, and gamma-oryzanol — a powerful antioxidant found almost exclusively in rice bran. It absorbs readily, nourishes without heaviness, and supports the skin's natural renewal process. Light in feel. Quietly exceptional in effect. 

Kaolin Clay: The gentlest of clays. Draws out excess oil and impurities without disrupting the skin barrier — making it the right choice for everyday cleansing, even on sensitive skin. In Citrus Zest it completes the brightening work the orange peel powder begins — clarifying and refining the surface without aggression or cost. 

Sunflower Oil: Light, non-comedogenic, and rich in linoleic acid — a fatty acid that reinforces the skin barrier and is often deficient in dull or stressed skin. Sunflower oil keeps Citrus Zest accessible and balanced for all skin types, providing nourishment without weight and protection without compromise. 

Top Notes: Satsuma orange and white grapefruit — bright, juicy, and immediately present. Citrus at its most vivid and alive. 

Middle Notes: Ripe citrus rounding and softening — the sharp edges easing, the sweetness of the orange coming forward. 

Base Notes: White musk — clean, skin-close, and unhurried. The note that catches the citrus before it fades and holds it there. 

Olea Europaea (Olive) Oil, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Oil, Sodium Lactate, Kaolin Clay, Citrus Sinensis (Orange) Peel Powder, Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Juice, Fragrance (Satsuma), Sodium Hydroxide (saponified— none remains in finished bar)

• Wet skin and bar with warm water. 
• Lather between hands or directly on skin — the bar will produce a bright, citrus-scented foam with a gentle texture from the orange peel powder. 
• Massage gently into face or body. The orange peel powder will provide a light, natural polish — let it work without pressure. 
• Rinse thoroughly with warm water. 
• Follow with your Crystal Beaute Co. body oil or butter to seal in moisture while skin is still slightly damp.
