Some things don't need to be discovered. Turmeric has been brightening skin, calming inflammation, and evening tone across South Asia, West Africa, and the Caribbean for thousands of years. This bar doesn't introduce it. It restores it. 

This is a bar built for skin that is ready to come back to itself. Olive oil and shea butter bring deep, lasting moisture. Castor oil lends a rich, creamy lather that feels generous — not thin. Carrot juice, used in place of water, carries beta-carotene and vitamin A into the cleanse, nourishing skin at every step rather than simply rinsing over it. 

Raw honey draws moisture into the skin and holds it — a humectant that communities from ancient Egypt to the Caribbean have trusted on skin for centuries. Kaolin clay lifts surface buildup without disrupting the skin's balance, leaving pores clear the way they are supposed to feel: clean, not stripped. Tussah silk, dissolved into the bar, lends a softness that lingers well past the rinse. 

Annatto seed gives this bar its warm, golden depth — botanical color with no synthetic dye, no micas. Unscented throughout, because nothing here needs to compete with a fragrance. Every ingredient is allowed to simply do its work.

Turmeric Powder: One of the most studied botanicals in skincare history. Carrot Juice: Used here in place of water, carrot juice brings beta-carotene — a precursor to vitamin A — and antioxidants into the bar from the very first step of the process. Vitamin A is one of the most proven skin-renewal ingredients known, supporting cell turnover and protecting against environmental damage. Communities across the world have used carrot preparations on skin for generations. The formula honors that. 

Honey: Honey has been used in wound care, skin treatment, and beauty rituals across ancient Egypt, Greece, and indigenous cultures worldwide for thousands of years. Annatto Seed: Harvested from the achiote tree, native to tropical regions of the Americas and widely used across Latin America and the Caribbean, annatto seed has colored food, textiles, and skin preparations for centuries. Its active pigment, bixin, yields a rich golden-amber tone entirely free of synthetic dye. The color you see in this bar is the annatto seed itself — botanical, honest, and earned. 

Tussah Silk: Derived from wild silk cocoons, tussah silk dissolves into the bar during the soap-making process. Its amino acids mirror those in human skin, creating a silky slip and conditioning effect that no synthetic additive quite replicates. 

Kaolin Clay: The gentlest of clays. Draws out excess oil and impurities without disrupting the skin barrier — making it the right choice for everyday cleansing, even on sensitive or reactive skin.

How to Use

  • Wet skin and bar with warm water. 
  • Lather between hands or directly on skin — the bar will produce a warm, creamy foam with a faint golden tone from the turmeric and annatto. 
  • Massage gently into face or body. Let the honey and clay do their work — no rush. 
  • Rinse thoroughly with warm water. 
  • Follow with your Crystal Beaute Co. body oil or butter to seal in moisture while skin is still slightly damp.
